How is it even possible that we suddenly found ourselves in Spain? At the beginning we were fully focused on developing the Kwiatomat project in Poland. Suddenly we started receiving enquiries from businesses from various places in Europe, including from Adriana Colombo, owner of Tendencias Floristas in Pontevedra, Spain.
This trip to Spain was planned to, among other things, meet personally with the people who had our BouquetMats installed in Galicia, Spain. The first visit was an extremely emotional meeting with Adriana. We had to remember at least some words and phrases in Spanish. By the time Adriana’s daughter arrived to help us communicate in English, we had already covered many topics in the local language, with occasional support from the translator, of course.
We started by thanking her for her trust and then asked her – how come, where did this idea come from, why choose our BouquetMat in particular? Her answer amazed us: ‘I had been looking for a bouquet vending machine for several years, so it could sell flowers while my flower shop is closed. I checked many offers from all over the world and your BouquetMat piqued my interest the most. First of all, I was impressed by its design and functionality. I felt it was the perfect machine to support my flower shop’s bouquet sales. It’s not like I ordered it blind! After all, we had several online meetings, many questions were asked and many answers were given that cleared up all of my doubts. Not without significance was the support provided by Ania, your representative for Spain, with whom I could communicate in Spanish. Thanks to this, the whole process of ordering, choosing the optimal options, transport and installation went very smoothly. Today, after a couple of months I can say – I am very satisfied with my investment. I am already thinking about investing in more BouquetMats and I am happy to recommend this innovation to everyone from Spain and Portugal who calls and asks me about it. I am convinced that flower vending machine is the way forward for the floral industry, it makes bouquets more accessible and lowers sales costs.’
This meeting at the BouquetMat was a great opportunity for a maintenance check and to discuss all the machine’s and the app’s functionalities: BOXCO System – shelf linking system, GUARD function – online monitoring of parameters, reservation pick-up system, counter showing how long bouquets have been in boxes, discount code system, automatic discounting of bouquets after a set time. Adriana is undoubtedly our ambassador in Spain, which is why we have provided her with the full version of the Kwiatomat 24 EA app, we are curious to hear her opinion about all the new functionalities of our BouquetMat’s management app.
Obviously we weren’t just talking about flower vending machine, it was an opportunity to analyze the business of Spanish flower shops and compare them to those of Poland. I can say that they are very similar businesses. Entrepreneurs who care about growth, who do not stand still, who actively search for innovations, who create the future and do not complain. They are busy, but satisfied with their work. So despite the distance of almost three thousand kilometers separating us, we operate in similar conditions and all the time we still see the purpose of this kind of business.
